The Kratos Axis Ultra DLD XPS has been at Sheffield University over 10 years now. It is equipped with a monochromatic aluminium X-ray source suitable for spectroscopy. XPS spectra can be collected from areas 700 µm by 300 µm down to 15 µm diameter. The large sample bar size and highly automated software make it ideal for high sample throughput, with up to 30 samples able to be analysed in one session, provided each is smaller than 5 mm by 5 mm in area, collecting both survey scans and high resolution scans.
